Reycle Second Hand Thermal Underwear

Reviewed: 11th November 2008

Buyeco - Show Off Your Designer Tic-Tac LidsWe know it sounds gross and wrong on so many levels, but stick with us on this one.

Polypropylene was widely used in furniture from the 1960’s and more recently can be found in ropes, thermal underwear, carpets and the lids of tic-tacs.

As you can imagine, with all the different uses of this man made thermoplastic polymer, it often ends up on the rubbish dump where it sits for years.

Now a young UK based designer has decided to give second hand thermal underwear a new lease of life by transforming them, and other Polypropylene products, into lampshades!

This understated pendant lampshade, 1 of 3 simple, yet striking designs, is made from 100% recyclable polypropylene
