A lot of the water that we use in the home doesn’t need to be pure drinking water direct from the tap. As more people are switching to metered water, investing in a water butt to catch rain water is fast becoming the norm.
The water collected, at minimum, can be used to water your plants over summer but many people are now making use of it to wash their cars or their outdoor furniture too.
